What to Expect from a Chemical Peel
First, you'll have a consultation to determine your goals and decide on the strength of your chemical peel. Wingard MedSpa offers light, medium-depth, and advanced peels, which are each recommended to target different concerns, such as texture issues, breakouts, and signs of aging. Your chemical peel will be performed while you are lying down in a relaxed position. Once your skin is clean, the customized solution will be applied to your face and set for a specific length of time. Afterward, we will clean the peel off your face and put on a neutralizing agent. Depending on the strength of the peel, you can expect the face to itch and peel for several days or weeks. During the healing process, be sure to avoid sun exposure, as well as picking at your skin, as this could cause scarring.
